25th Annual San Diego International Film Festival
October 13-18
For 25 years, SDIFF has grown into one of the region’s signature cinematic events, connecting San Diego audiences with major Studio premieres, independent films, documentaries and filmmakers from around the world. This year’s celebration brings that legacy to life across La Jolla and North County, from the star-studded Night of the Stars Tribute at The Conrad and Opening Night at THE LOT in La Jolla, to four days of premieres, conversations and events at Westfield UTC.
But what makes this anniversary especially interesting is what’s happening beyond the red carpet. SDIFF is using its 25th year to spotlight stories that challenge perspectives and create meaningful conversation, including People of the West, a Native American docu-series presented during Indigenous Peoples Week in partnership with the Kumeyaay Tribes, as well as the continuation of its Women’s Film Series.
The Festival has also become a notable launching pad for films that go on to major recognition — films that have premiered at SDIFF have earned 36 Oscars and 167 nominations in recent years.
