Alice by Heart the Musical Description: From the creators of Spring Awakening comes a moving, imaginative new musical inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Set in the London Underground during the Blitz of World War II, Alice By Heart follows teenager Alice Spencer as she takes refuge from the bombs by escaping into her favorite book. When her best friend Alfred falls ill, Alice encourages him to journey with her through the whimsical, dreamlike world of Wonderland—where they rediscover the power of love, loss, and the healing force of imagination.
Featuring an enchanting, modern score by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, Alice By Heart is a tender, surreal exploration of growing up, letting go, and finding light in the darkest of times.

In a Berlin nightclub, as the 1920s draw to a close, a garish Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the Cabaret. With the Emcee’s bawdy songs as wry commentary, Cabaret explores the dark, heady and tumultuous life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. Cliff, a young American writer newly arrived in Berlin, is immediately taken with English singer Sally Bowles. Meanwhile, Fräulein Schneider, proprietor of Cliff and Sally’s boarding house, tentatively begins a romance with Herr Schultz, a mild-mannered fruit seller who happens to be Jewish.
