SeaWorld Spooktacular runs now through November 1. Halloween comes to life at SeaWorld San Diego as Spooktacular, the park’s beloved family-friendly Halloween event, returns with more festive fun than ever. This year’s celebration features the California debut of the all-new Baby Shark™ Halloween Show, premiering exclusively at SeaWorld San Diego and making Spooktacular one of the top Halloween events in San Diego for families.
Embark on a pirate-themed Halloween adventure filled with interactive activities, exciting entertainment, and memorable photo opportunities. Families can enjoy trick-or-treat stations, the all-new Baby Shark Halloween Show, a charming pumpkin patch perfect for seasonal photos, festive Halloween entertainment and live performances, dance parties with Spookley the Square Pumpkin, family-friendly photo opportunities and character encounters, and daytime Halloween fun designed for guests of all ages.

Returning Fan Favorites: Waterfront Pumpkin Patch – the fan-favorite photo spot, with vibrant fall décor, scenic views of Mission Bay, and autumnal treats. Magical Mermaids – return in a new home at Rescue Jr., with special meet-and-greet moments. Scurvy Squad Pirate Shanty Band – now performing at the SkyTower Lawn Stage. Captain Sweet Tooth and First Mate Peggy – talking skeletons at Bayside Lawn retelling haunted treasure hunts and candy quests. Royal Guard Talking Skulls – spooky greetings near the SkyTower. O.P. Otter’s Spooktacular Surprise – a high-energy Halloween costume party at Mission Bay Theater. Trick-or-Treat Trail – 10 candy stations, open 4–7 p.m. Fridays and 1–7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
SeaWorld reusable candy bags are available to purchase at any retail location. Guests ages 13 and older may not wear costume masks or hoods, and all costumes are subject to the normal dress code for the park. Face painting is not permitted unless done by park artists.
Howl-O-Scream (ticketed event) runs now through November 1. Once the sun goes down, the screams rise. On select nights through November 1, SeaWorld San Diego transforms into a twisted world of terror with the return of Howl-O-Scream — a separately ticketed event for guests 13 and older, featuring intensified haunted houses, unrelenting scare zones, a bone-chilling live show, and hair-raising coaster rides in the dark. Expect elevated scares and immersive experiences, including themed bars and secret speakeasies offering eerie elixirs and exclusive entertainment.
