Featuring more than 20 restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, and eateries, Taste of College Area showcases the rich culinary diversity found throughout the College Area and Rolando neighborhoods. Guests will sample signature bites and beverages while discovering local favorites and hidden gems at their own pace.

It’s a chance for neighbors, visitors, and food lovers alike to discover the amazing variety of flavors our local culinary scene has to offer while experiencing the unique energy of our community. Whether you’re a longtime resident or visiting for the first time, we can’t wait to welcome everyone for a fun and memorable afternoon.”
The Taste of College Area route stretches across El Cajon Boulevard between 55th Street and 73rd Street, where guests will have the option to walk, bike, or take a complimentary Old-Town trolley. Free trolley service will transport attendees throughout the event, making it easy to discover the College Area’s vibrant dining scene and visit participating restaurants at their own pace.
This flavor expedition will take guests on a tour to sample a variety of College Area restaurants including Tokyo Sushi Loha, Penelope’s Mexican Food, Charoen Krung Thai Cuisine and Scrimshaw Coffee, and other mouthwatering pitstops. Returning ticketholders can look forward to discovering new culinary experiences as well, with first-time participants Pokedon, BarLando and Love Letters Pizza joining this year’s lineup.
Early Bird tickets are on sale now for just $35, and groups of 10 or more automatically receive a 15% discount through July 31. Beginning August 1, individual tickets will increase to $40, while group discounts will be 10%.
