Holiday Highlights at Disneyland Park
A Christmas Fantasy Parade returns November 13. The approximately 40-minute parade features Disney characters, toy soldiers, reindeer, gingerbread performers, Frozen characters, Pixar favorites and Santa Claus. Disney recommends arriving early for popular viewing areas along Main Street, U.S.A. or near “it’s a small world” Holiday. The parade may not run every day, so guests should check the Disneyland app or entertainment calendar for their visit date.
“Believe…In Holiday Magic” Fireworks also returns November 13. The roughly 15-minute nighttime show combines fireworks, holiday music, illuminated Sleeping Beauty Castle effects and simulated snowfall in selected viewing areas. Fireworks are weather-dependent and can be cancelled.
Seasonal attraction experiences include Haunted Mansion Holiday and “it’s a small world” Holiday. Guests can also see the winter transformation of Sleeping Beauty Castle and evening holiday lighting around the park.
Disney California Adventure Holiday Events
Disney Festival of Holidays runs November 13 through January 6 at Disney California Adventure. The festival focuses on multicultural seasonal traditions through rotating live entertainment, character appearances, specialty merchandise and food. Festive Foods Marketplace locations serve holiday-inspired dishes and drinks, and a Sip and Savor Pass is available for eligible food and nonalcoholic beverage items.
Disney ¡Viva Navidad! also runs through January 6. Its weekend street party features live musicians, dancers, the Three Caballeros and Disney characters in festive costumes, with influences from Latin American holiday traditions. Three Kings Day is recognized on January 6.
Mickey’s Happy Holidays is scheduled on select days during Festival of Holidays, pairing Mickey and friends with the Holiday Toy Drummers in a lively seasonal performance.
Tickets and Park Reservations
Holiday entertainment is included with valid theme-park admission unless Disney specifically identifies an offering as separately ticketed. Disneyland uses date-based ticketing and availability can vary, so prices should be checked for the exact date being considered.
Guests age 3 and older need both valid admission and a theme-park reservation for the same park and date. Reservations are limited and are not guaranteed simply because a ticket has been purchased. For Park Hopper tickets, guests must select the park where they plan to begin the day. Details are on Disney’s park reservation page.
Planning Your Visit
Holiday weekends, Thanksgiving week and the period around Christmas and New Year can draw significant crowds. Visitors should reserve their park date early, review entertainment times in the Disneyland app and decide which park’s holiday offerings are the priority. Parade and fireworks schedules can change, while popular food items and merchandise may sell out.
Want to add a concert or show to the trip? Check events at Honda Center in Anaheim, The National Grove of Anaheim and the Anaheim Ducks schedule. Looking for another light display? See Lightscape at San Diego Botanic Garden.
